In 2018, our team had been investing individually in farmland for over a decade. Because of our backgrounds in agriculture, we knew about farmland’s appeal, but recognized the high cost of entry and the burden of farm management kept farmland inaccessible to the average investor. At the same time, we saw an opportunity to provide farmers with innovative routes to capital for expansion. Using our combined experience in finance, tech, and agriculture, we created the first accessible farmland investments platform.

Sam serves as an Investor Relations Associate at AcreTrader, where he connects clients with opportunities to invest in farmland through the AcreTrader platform. Before initially joining the team in 2023, Sam gained experience at Stephens Inc., a private investment bank based in Arkansas, and at Tyson Foods. In 2024, he temporarily stepped over to AcreTrader's sister company, Acres, to help scale the go-to-market team. After returning to AcreTrader, Sam now focuses on client communications, investor education, portfolio allocation, and marketing strategy. He holds Series 7, 63, and 82 licenses with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Sam is a graduate of the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, where he earned both a Master of Science in Finance and a B.S.B.A. in Financial Management and Investments.
