Arkansas Agriculture Overview

Agriculture is the largest industry in Arkansas and the state is one of the top exporters of several cash crops in the United States. The rich and diverse soil compositions in the Delta region and other regions throughout the state allow farmers to produce a diverse mix of commodities with some of the highest yields per acre we see in the country. Arkansas is also home to some of the largest companies in the industry such as Tyson Foods, Simmons Foods, and Riceland which employ thousands in the state and help facilitate the massive impact that Arkansas producers have on the local and global economy.
