Because of our backgrounds in agriculture, we knew about farmland’s appeal — historically strong returns with low volatility — but recognized that the high cost of entry and the burden of farm management kept farmland inaccessible to the average investor. At the same time, we saw an opportunity to provide farmers with innovative routes to capital for expansion. Kenny Traynom is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Landform Capital, an investment management firm offering bespoke products in the farmland and timber asset classes. He has 26 years of experience in finance, business development, and mergers & acquisitions, primarily in the agricultural sector. Prior to the formation of Landform in 2021, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Westchester Group, a subsidiary of TIAA-CREF, with responsibility for approximately $8.2 billion of farmland real estate on a global basis. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. Kenny currently serves on the board of directors of AcreTrader, Leading Harvest, and Ritter Agribusiness.
